Welcome to the Institute of Boarding (TIOB)
TIOB was launched in 2022 as the world’s first professional association for boarding school staff.
TIOB is part of the BSA Group, a family of four other associations in the education, safeguarding and health/wellbeing sectors with more than 1,500 members in 39 countries. These include the Boarding Schools’ Association, the leading association for boarding schools, with over 600 members worldwide.
TIOB’s mission is to ‘support excellence for professional boarding staff’. For anyone working in boarding schools, retired from a boarding role, thinking about a job in boarding, or just interested in boarding schools generally, TIOB is the dedicated association for you.
From guidance and advice to online resources, webinars, training and events, TIOB supports boarding staff anywhere in the world.
